Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents
• Maintain surveillance to prevent illegal entries and apprehend noncitizens near borders
• Interpret evidence such as tracks and physical indicators of illegal entry or contraband
• Perform various checks and patrol duties across assigned sectors
• Patrol borders and waterways using diverse government assets to fulfill agency missions
