Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or equivalent is required for GL-5.

• Combination of general work experience and education may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-operations equipment.
• Interpret tracks and evidence related to illegal entry or contraband; perform checks and patrols; patrol international boundaries and waterways using various assets.
