Job summary

The Arizona Department of Agriculture is actively recruiting for a Livestock Inspector in Nogales. The inspector will monitor animal health and proper identification at the border and within assigned areas, enforcing surveillance under applicable laws and rules.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state/federal livestock laws and surveillance practices.
• Ability to prepare reports and maintain records.
• Effective written and verbal communication within a regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and identification of animals moving within the state.
• Monitor compliance with Beef Council fee and related fees.
• Handle money and make weekly deposits.
• Prepare activity reports, time sheets, and travel claims per regulations.
• Respond to foreign animal disease or pest responses as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
