Job summary

Force Pressure Control, LLC. seeks a safety-oriented BOP Technician to support our Midland facility. You will inspect, service, repair, assemble, and test BOPs and surface pressure control equipment to ensure readiness for field operations.

Responsibilities include disassembly, inspection, maintenance, testing, and documentation, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. The role requires flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed at our Midland site.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with BOP or surface pressure control equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and work around heavy equipment safely.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble BOPs and related equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, pressure testing, and function testing of equipment.
  • Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or other issues and communicate needed repairs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic equipment issues.
  • Prepare BOP equipment and components for upcoming field jobs.
  • Maintain accurate service, inspection, and testing documentation.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and movement of equipment within the facility.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and proper care for tools and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding equipment status and priorities.
  • Participate in and comply with FPC QHSE programs, safe work practices, and all applicable safety rules and procedures.

Description
OFS Facility Operations | BOP & Surface Pressure Control Equipment

Force Pressure Control is seeking a safety-oriented BOP Technician to support our Midland facility. This position is responsible for inspecting, servicing, repairing, assembling, and testing BOPs and surface pressure control equipment to ensure equipment is ready for field operations.

  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble BOPs and associated pressure control equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance, pressure testing, and function testing of equipment
  • Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or other issues and communicate needed repairs

The BOP Technician position is a full time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay rate commensurate with experience.
