Job description

MPS Group, Inc.,

is seeking multiple Booth Cleaners to join our team at the GM Fort Wayne Assembly Plant, located in Roanoke, IN. These individuals will be responsible for janitorial activities, lifting, water blasting, preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, inspection of waste storage areas, and documentation as required. Scheduling is subject to union seniority.

Shift and Schedule:

• 1st Shift: Monday - Sunday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
• Alternate 1st Shift: Monday - Sunday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Sunday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
• Alternate 2nd Shift: Monday - Sunday, 4:00 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.
• Night Shift: Monday - Sunday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Utilize solvents and high-pressure water blasters up to 40,000 psi.
• Perform manual scraping and chipping to clean walls, hoses, windows, grates, lights, robots, etc.
• Execute minor maintenance tasks.
• Vacuum and wipe interior and exterior of equipment.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Perform specialized paint booth cleaning jobs as required.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures for safe entry into energized areas of the paint shop.
• Follow confined space entry procedures for safe entry into confined space areas requiring cleaning.
• Perform general janitorial functions such as office and restroom cleaning.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• At least three years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods and reach within 6 inches to the ground.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty.
• Ability to lift, carry, and pull equipment of various sizes, shapes, and weights.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical assessment.
