Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Boot Fitter at Stratton to assist customers with boot fitting, footbeds, and related hardgoods. The role emphasizes comfort, performance, and safety for skiers and snowboarders.

The position offers seasonal full-time and part-time opportunities, with compensation at $21.00/hr. Weekend and holiday work are required as part of the schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assess skiers' alignment through visual evaluation and physiological methods.

• Analyze basic foot functions relative to boot shape kinesiology and stance.
• Understand techniques for boot modifications, stance alignment protocols.
• Ability to present educational discussions on biomechanics.
• Demonstrate modifications to buyers.
• Fabrication of custom foot beds.
• Operate point of sale system and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Additional daily store duties.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Boot Fitter understands the properties of ski equipment and is proficiently knowledgeable at evaluating the fitting of ski boots. This role focuses on selling ski boots, custom and cut-to-fit footbeds, and performing boot modifications to improve comfort and performance for skiing and other athletic footwear. The position also supports sales of related hardgoods, including skis, snowshoes, ski bags, and accessories. There are seasonal full time and part time opportunities available. This role is compensated at $21.00/hr.

Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

• Previous boot fitting experience, preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will be required to work weekends and holidays.
