LINK Media is seeking a Boone County Reporter to deliver daily news and in-depth, solutions-focused coverage for the Northern Kentucky community. You will manage a beat, write quickly and clearly, build relationships, and work in a startup culture that values flexibility and teamwork.

You will report on government, elections, education, business, growth, and community issues; attend meetings; break news; cultivate sources; and contribute to multimedia storytelling with the digital team.

Qualifications

• Experience in hard-news reporting, ideally local government or education.
• Strong writing, reporting, and interviewing skills with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to translate complex policy issues into clear stories.

Responsibilities

• Report and write clear, accurate, timely stories on local government, elections, education, and community issues.
• Attend public meetings and cover policy changes; break news as needed.
• Cultivate sources and relationships with officials, educators, business leaders, and civic groups.
• Identify enterprise and accountability stories on growth, budgets, and infrastructure.
• Cover community features and contribute to multimedia storytelling with video/audio.
• Use analytics to inform coverage and drive reader engagement.
• Collaborate with editors and reporters for comprehensive NKY coverage.
