Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a Bookseller to work on the sales floor and at the register in one of our retail store locations. The role focuses on connecting customers with great books, delivering exceptional service, and contributing to a welcoming store atmosphere.

You’ll collaborate with store leadership in a fast-paced environment that blends merchandising with everyday store upkeep, ensuring a positive shopping experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• A genuine love of books and reading.
• Comfort with technology and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer with genuine warmth and enthusiasm; help them discover what they’re looking for and make checkout quick and accurate.
• Drive sales by highlighting products and programs that add value to the customer experience.
• Create inviting displays; follow merchandising guidelines and keep shelves fresh and inviting.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming sales floor and perform housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Be flexible across departments, support inventory needs, and assist with other duties as assigned.
