Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Background screenings must be completed successfully.
• Love of books and curiosity about products and customers.
• Strong communication and connection skills for warm interactions.
• Ownership mindset: initiative, organization, prioritization.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort with technology and transactions; willing to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with warmth and help them discover books, ensuring quick, accurate checkout.
• Drive sales by highlighting benefits and suggesting books that fit customer needs.
• Create inviting displays and follow merchandising guidelines to keep the store fresh and engaging.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and assist with inventory, returns, and restocking.
• Perform other duties as assigned and be ready to pitch in across departments.
