Job summary

Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc. is looking for a friendly Bookseller to join our store team. You will greet customers, guide them to books and products, and help maintain attractive displays.

You may work the register, unpack deliveries, stock shelves, and support other sections as needed. As you gain experience, you will develop deep knowledge of our ranges including fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, electronics, and gifts.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills and a cheerful, helpful approach to customers.
• Ability to merchandise and present books effectively across sections.
• Proficiency with cash registers and point-of-sale processes.
• Comfort with stocking, unpacking deliveries, and organizing shelves.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and help them find titles and products.
• Unpack deliveries and shelve items, maintain attractive displays.
• Operate registers and assist customers quickly and accurately.
• Support merchandising and backstock management; assist cafe team when needed.
• Follow loss-prevention procedures and maintain store safety and courtesy.
