Job summary

Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc. is seeking a Bookseller to welcome customers, answer questions, and connect readers with the right titles and products. You’ll help with shelving, displays, and ensure smooth store operations, including rapid checkout and courteous service.

The role focuses on developing bookselling knowledge across fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books, plus merchandising and cross-category presentation. Training will cover BookMaster tools and loss prevention procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and apply new product knowledge.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and help them find titles and products.
• Unpack, shelve, and tidy displays to maintain attractive presentation.
• Operate registers and process transactions.
• Assist with deliveries and shelving.
• Support cafe team as needed and follow loss prevention procedures.
