Job summary

Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc. is seeking a Bookseller to warmly welcome customers, help them find books, and maintain an engaging store presentation. You will also assist with shelving, register operations, and basic merchandising across categories.

This role requires reliability, teamwork, and a positive approach to learn and grow within a busy bookstore environment. Training and opportunities for advancement to Senior Bookseller are provided.

Qualifications

• Welcomes customers cheerfully and helps customers find titles and products.
• Maintains appealing store presentation and tidy displays.
• Assists with packing out deliveries and shelving.
• Operates registers and provides friendly, professional service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions to connect readers with the right titles.
• Unpack deliveries and stock shelves to maintain attractive displays.
• Run a register quickly and accurately to serve customers.
• Assist in merchandising and maintaining store presentation across categories.
• Support café team and learn loss prevention and de-escalation procedures.
