Books-A-Million in Cleveland, TN is seeking a customer-focused Bookseller to help shoppers find books, check out at the register, and keep the store welcoming. You'll greet customers, suggest reads, and help create a positive in-store experience.

This hourly role supports merchandising and everyday store upkeep, works with teammates and leadership, and offers benefits and opportunities to grow with a beloved bookseller brand.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Love of books and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and connection with customers and teammates.
• Comfort with technology and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. Listen, connect, and help them discover exactly what they’re looking for—from a favorite author to an unexpected treasure.
• Drive sales across all of our products by helping customers discover what’s right for them. Highlight benefits and programs that add value to their experience.
• Bring the sales floor to life by creating inviting displays that spark curiosity and make customers want to explore.
• Maintain a sales floor that invites curiosity and gives customers a reason to explore, and complete housekeeping tasks to keep the space welcoming.
• Build connection in every interaction by handling every transaction with care, honesty, and integrity.
