Job Title: Bookkeeping Supervisor

Job Description

The Bookkeeping Supervisor will oversee and conduct reviews and audits on all bookkeeping projects. The role involves providing feedback and coaching to bookkeepers post-review, training the team on identified areas for improvement, and conducting one-on-one training sessions as needed. The supervisor may also perform bookkeeping duties, participate actively in meetings, and handle inquiries from management, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct reviews and audits on all bookkeeping projects.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to bookkeepers after reviews are completed.
  • Train the team on areas that need to be addressed.
  • Conduct one-on-one training sessions when necessary.
  • Perform bookkeeping duties as needed.
  • Participate actively in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
  • Respond to questions and inquiries from management, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in accounting, reconciliation, and tax planning.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields, specifically accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • 3-5 years of experience and understanding of bookkeeping procedures, processes, and nuances.
  • Strong skills with 10 key and Excel.
  • Advanced working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr.
