Job summary

SonSet Solutions in Elkhart, Indiana, is seeking a full-time accounting assistant to support financial operations for our mission-focused ministry. This onsite role involves handling donations and expense processing with accuracy and integrity.

You will deposit donations in QuickBooks, generate donor reports, manage credit card transactions, create purchase orders, and oversee petty cash, coordinating with the finance team to ensure timely, compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and aligned with SonSet Solutions' faith statements.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with QuickBooks and donor management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and deposit donations with accurate record-keeping in QuickBooks.
• Generate and verify donor reports for batches and schedules.
• Review and process expense reports and reimbursements.
• Manage credit card transactions and assign charges to correct accounts.
• Create purchase orders and coordinate approvals for recurring expenses.
• Oversee petty cash and monthly reconciliations.
• Track departmental expenses and copy charges.
• Support financial reporting and maintain donation records.

• Skilled in financial record-keeping and report generation
• Trustworthy and committed to financial stewardship and accountability
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with ACH/credit card processing

How One Will Serve

• Review, approve, and process expense reports and reimbursements
• Manage credit card transactions and assign charges to appropriate accounts
• Create purchase orders and coordinate approvals for recurring expenses
• Oversee petty cash management and monthly reconciliation
• Track and allocate departmental expenses and copy charges
• Support financial reporting and maintain accurate donation records
