Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to deliver accurate bookkeeping, payroll and client service. You’ll post transactions, reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements to support clients.

Preferred qualifications include experience with Xero and a National Bookkeeping certification. You’ll work with clients and vendors, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to client retention.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles & procedures
• Ability to interpret and apply instructions, policies and regulations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with professionalism

Responsibilities

• Post transactions into subsidiary books and ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors and banks.
• Support client retention and growth opportunities.
