Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking an accounting professional to perform a range of financial duties under supervision, including payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and banking activities. The role requires strong organizational skills and adherence to policy.

Training will be provided for specific GEO procedures. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in an accounting-related capacity and a foundational accounting education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Processes all accounts payable and receivables, checking accounts, employee payroll, and inmate payroll.
• Maintains and distributes employee payroll per GEO Policy.
• Performs bank deposits, writes checks, and maintains balance controls on all accounts.
• Counts cash and credits amounts to inmate accounts.
• Develops and submits reports for accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inmate payroll.
• Prepares travel orders, advances, and expense reimbursements.
• Oversees receptionist/admin clerk if needed.
• Ensures inventory of items in warehouse and storage areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
