Job summary

OMEGA CONTRACTING LLC seeks a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. You will work closely with the CFO to maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and bring books to trial balance.

Responsibilities include recording and verifying transactions, preparing the trial balance, analyzing budgets, and handling accounts payable/receivable, and tax forms. The ideal candidate has GAAP knowledge and excellent Excel and QuickBooks skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online, and basic accounting systems.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter financial data and transactions
• Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
• Prepare trial balance
• Analyze budgets and other financial information
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Complete required tax forms
