LR Auto Sales Inc and Trinity Financial seek an experienced bookkeeper/accountant to manage daily accounting for two related companies in Moody, Alabama. The role reports to the owner and collaborates with the outside CPA.

The ideal candidate is accurate, organized, dependable, and able to work independently, handling payroll, reconciliations, financial reporting, and timely tax coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage records for multiple related companies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for two related companies.
• Complete timely bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, track invoices, and prepare approved vendor payments.
• Monitor outstanding bills and promptly report payment issues.
• Record and reconcile customer payments, deposits, and loan-related transactions.
• Track vehicle inventory, purchase costs, and repair expenses.
• Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with our outside CPA on taxes, financial statements, and year-end reporting.
• Maintain organized records and effective accounting controls.
• Meet deadlines and communicate promptly with the owner.

About the Position

The ideal candidate is accurate, organized, dependable, and able to work independently. This position reports directly to the owner and works closely with our outside CPA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for two related companies.
• Complete timely bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, track invoices, and prepare approved vendor payments.

• Ability to manage records for multiple related companies.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work on-site in Moody, Alabama.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Dealership, consumer finance, or buy-here-pay-here experience.
• Experience managing the complete bookkeeping cycle through monthly financial reporting.
• Accounting degree or relevant professional training.
