Job summary

LJK INVESTIGATIONS LLC in Jacksonville, TX is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. You will maintain accurate financial records, record and verify transactions, and bring the books to the trial balance stage while ensuring compliance with GAAP.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has strong knowledge of Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems. Strong analytical and time-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Enter financial data and transactions.
Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered.
Prepare trial balance.
Analyze budgets and other financial information.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Complete required tax forms.
