Job description

As the Marketing & Communications Manager, you’ll lead efforts to amplify our story, grow our audience, and strengthen our brand. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who enjoys both big-picture planning and hands-on content creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage content creation for web, email, social media, and print
  • Manage Meta Ads, Google Ads, and other advertising opportunities
  • Coordinate with external vendors (designers, photographers, etc.)
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics
  • Lead media outreach and public relations initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of marketing and communications experience

About the Role: The Office Manager ensures our day-to-day operations run smoothly. You’ll be the go-to person for administrative coordination, internal communications, and logistical support for the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions
  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, and donor contributions

Summer 2025 Field Instructors

We are looking for caring, responsible, outgoing, and fun outdoor educators who love the natural world, enjoy working with children, and care about their development. Field instructors are outdoor enthusiasts who understand outdoor risks, hazards, and preparedness. They should be experienced team players who can demonstrate excellent judgment and flexibility. Field instructors are problem-solvers who can maintain a positive attitude throughout the day.

As a Summer Field Instructor, you will,
  • Co-lead a new group of campers each week, building a close-knit community.
  • Be in charge of the health and well-being of your group every day.
  • Help campers build confidence and inspire personal growth.
  • Help them learn to communicate clearly and solve problems independently and as a team.
  • Model respectful behavior toward people, property, and the natural world.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, helping to create a supportive, cohesive environment where all staff can learn and grow together.
Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:
  • Experienced outdoors person with knowledge of hazards, preparedness & safety, or willingness to learn
  • Experience (and love for) working with children (ages 5-16)
  • Have excellent group management skills
  • Ability to maintain a high energy level and positive attitude
  • Have strong communication and organization skills
  • Be a team player, able to implement camp curriculum alone or with others
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, flexibility, and willingness to take initiative
  • Clean driving record, able to drive a 15-passenger van
  • Excellent judgment and concern for the safety of children
  • Ability to work the entire summer season, including staff training (see dates below)
  • Ability to speak Spanish
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Current Wilderness First Aid/CPR Training
  • Have a clean driving record (must be 21 + to drive vans)
  • Able to pass a background check
Employment Dates
  • Staff Training: Monday – Friday, May 19 – 23
    • WFA Cert. Course: Thursday, May 22
  • Camp:May 27 – August 8, 2025**
    • Daily Schedule: ~ 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (40 hours/week)
  • $17 – $22/hour (based on experience)
  • Training in:
    • Outdoor Education Leadership
    • Experiential Education Principles
    • Wilderness Survival Skills
  • Pro Deals on Outdoor Gear
  • **One-Week Off Paid (for those who commit to the entire summer)

Summer 2025 Mountain Bike Instructors

We are looking for caring, responsible, outgoing, and fun mountain biking instructors who love the natural world, enjoy working with children, and care about their development. Instructors are mountain biking enthusiasts who understand the risks and hazards of riding on trails and can teach campers how to be prepared to face them. We seek experienced team players who can demonstrate excellent judgment and flexibility. Instructors are problem-solvers who can maintain a positive attitude throughout the day.

As a Mountain Bike Instructor, you will,
  • Co-lead a group of up to twelve campers (Ages 9-13), building a close-knit community.
  • Be in charge of the health and well-being of your group every day.
  • Help campers build confidence and inspire personal growth.
  • Help them learn to communicate clearly and solve problems independently and as a team.
  • Model respectful behavior toward people, property, and the natural world.
  • Facilitate epic mountain biking adventures.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, helping to create a supportive, cohesive environment where all staff can learn and grow together.
Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:
  • Experienced mountain biker with knowledge of risks, hazards, preparedness, and rider safety
  • Experience (and love for) working with children (ages 9-16)
  • Have excellent group management skills, judgement and concern for child safety
  • Ability to maintain a high energy level and positive attitude
  • Have strong communication and organization skills
  • Be a team player with the ability to implement camp curriculum alone or with others
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, flexibility, and willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to work both weeks of mountain biking camp is preferred.
  • Ability to attend 2 days of staff training
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Hold current Wilderness First Aid & CPR Certifications.
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Experience teaching mountain biking skills to youth
Employment Dates
  • Staff Training: May 19-23, 2025 (Attendance for 2 days is preferred)
    • Thursday, May 22: Mountain Kids will host a WFA training for staff
  • Level I Camp: Monday, June 2 – Friday, June 6 (~ 8:15 am – 3:45 pm)
  • Level II Camp: Monday, July 14 – Friday, July 18 (~ 8:15 am – 3:45 pm)
