Job summary

Riverside Regional Jail is seeking a Booking Technician to support the Booking Unit. The incumbent will prepare booking documents on arrestees, photograph and fingerprint individuals, secure property, and perform data entry tasks using a PC and various software packages.

Irregular hours and holidays may be required. Education requirement includes a high school diploma or GED; NCIC/VCIN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in the operation of NCIC/VCIN and automated fingerprint systems preferred, but not required.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete booking documents on arrestees.
• Photograph and fingerprint arrestees.
• Secure property and manage related items.

Job description

Riverside Regional Jail is currently accepting applications for Booking Technician.

Duties: The incumbent will perform a variety of duties in the Booking Unit, to include: preparing and completing booking documents on arrestees, photographing, fingerprinting, securing property, completing data entry tasks, and assisting with other related clerical functions. Must be able to use a personal computer and learn a variety of software packages. Incumbent may be required to work irregular hours and holidays.

Education and Experience: Must possess a high school diploma or general education diploma. Experience in the operation of NCIC/VCIN and automated fingerprint systems preferred, but not required. Any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Full-Time: $50,107 – $71,194
