Job summary

Rise Technical in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own the booking domain and external API for partner integrations, setting the technical roadmap and delivering robust systems.

You will work hands-on with Ruby on Rails and/or Node.js, PostgreSQL and AWS, tackling complex transactional challenges across inventory and capacity, with a 4-day on-site work week in NYC.

Qualifications

• Experience with transactional systems or APIs.
• Hands-on backend development with Rails and/or Node.js.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Own the booking domain and external API for partner integrations.
• Lead architecture, technical roadmap and hands-on backend development.
• Build reliable transactional workflows (inventory, idempotency, concurrency, webhooks).
• 4 day working week: On-site role in New York, NY (Mon-Thu, 9:30am-5:30pm).
