Job summary

Prisma Health in Oconee Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for direct patient care in an acute inpatient Medical/Surgical Nursing unit. You will apply evidence-based practices across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, while ensuring patient/family-centered care and compliance with safety, confidentiality and infection control standards.

The role requires an up-to-date RN license and a minimum of one year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of RN experience required.
• RN license in good standing (NCSBN compact state).
• Alternative: Prisma Health Nurse Residency program or comparable residency.
• In lieu of RN experience, LPN experience for internal candidates may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments using area- and age-specific standards and tools.
• Develop and update the plan of care in collaboration with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition of care.
• Delegate tasks within RN scope and supervise team members as appropriate.
• Monitor quality of care, participate in performance improvement activities.
