Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner for the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. The role involves evaluation, diagnosis, and management of hematologic malignancies and stem cell transplantation. Ideal candidates will have experience in Hematology/Oncology, knowledge of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, with additional skills in bone marrow transplantation.

Responsibilities include formulating patient care plans, performing physical examinations, and providing continuity of care. The position requires a Master’s degree in Nursing or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing with an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification is required.
• Experience in Hematology/Oncology is preferred.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care within established scope of practice.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
