Job summary

You will work within a collaborative transplant team, handling history taking, exams, orders, and procedures such as bone marrow aspirations.

The role requires PA or NP certification, WA licensure, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program and licensed to practice in Washington.
• National Certification as appropriate for the profession.
• Licensed for schedule II drug authority.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Enjoy long-term relationships with patients undergoing intense therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for blood and marrow transplant and immunotherapy patients in inpatient and outpatient settings under physician supervision.
• Obtain medical history and perform physical examinations.
• Review and order diagnostic studies and radiographs; prescribe treatments.
• Perform bone marrow aspirations and lumbar punctures; assist with bone marrow harvests.
• Provide follow-up care of bone marrow donors under supervision.
