Job summary

Winnebago Industries is seeking a Bill of Material Writer (BOM) to manage BOMs for product lines in Middlebury, IN. You will work with Product, Purchasing, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure accurate BOMs, conduct audits, and support part searches and price analyses.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with AX Dynamics, and the ability to read blueprints and work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Database Managed Software.
• AX Dynamics experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create, set up, and maintain an accurate BOM based on engineering prints and product information for new models, assemblies, or features.
• Conduct BOM audits to monitor accuracy.
• Identify and search for appropriate parts and assemblies.
• Reconcile the BOM with the Purchasing page prior to release.
• Add BOM portion to the AX configurator.
• Create and maintain all part numbers requested by purchasing/engineering/parts & service.
• Update Active BOM’s through PCN changes, plant requests and print updates.
• Partake in all BOM, AX and training related to the BOM position.
• Perform numerical calculations and read blueprints.
• Assist with Work in Process inventory.
• Provide BOM related support for Product Development, Engineering, Customer Service and Design.
• Monthly valuation of Cost of Goods Sold.
• Analyze/explain monthly cost differentials and develop/implement cost saving initiatives.
• Assist in set up and audit of plant inventories.
