Job summary

Aecon is seeking a hands-on bolt-up technician in Beaumont, TX to perform bolting, assembly, and installation work per technical drawings and strict safety standards. You will use torque wrenches, tensioners, and read ISO drawings while ensuring proper torque, alignment, and quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on bolting and assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret ISO drawings and blueprints.
• Commitment to safety, including lockout/tag-out procedures.

Responsibilities

• Tighten and loosen bolts on flange connections and manways using impact wrenches, torque wrenches, and tensioners per ISO drawings.
• Assemble and secure piping, tubing, fittings, valves, and structural steel components (beams, columns).
• Read blueprints, ISO drawings, and structural layouts to ensure accurate installation.
• Install and remove blind flanges for pressure testing while following lockout/tag-out and safety procedures.
• Inspect bolt-ups for proper alignment, torque, and compliance with safety standards.
• Perform minor maintenance, clean tools, and assist with rigging heavy components.
