Job summary

Brown & Root in Baton Rouge is seeking a warehouse associate who is familiar with tools and consumables. You will hand out and receive tools and welding wire, assist with tool repairs, and help order consumables while maintaining a distribution log.

The role involves stocking shelves, reading orders, and ensuring accurate material movement. You will move materials, prepare for delivery, and keep inventory records while following all safety and hazardous waste guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in similar material handling is a plus.
• Familiar with tools and consumables; ability to hand out and receive tools and welding wire.
• Knowledge of repairing tools and maintaining distribution logs.
• Ability to order consumables and tools and keep accurate records.
• Adheres to safety and project rules; uses required PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

• Stores, removes, loads and unloads materials from bins, pallets and vehicles not handled by devices.
• Operates manual or mechanical devices and stocks inventory shelves.
• Reads schedules and orders to determine items to move, gather or distribute.
• Sorts materials and places them on racks or bins by size, type or color.
• Moves materials from warehouse and prepares for delivery.
• Fills requisitions and work orders for materials, tools, or stock items.
• Records items received or distributed; may maintain inventory records.
• Maintains routine housekeeping to keep the work area clean and safe.
• Follows hazardous waste handling guidelines and safety rules, including PPE.
• Performs other duties as required.
