Job summary

Red Ball Oxygen Company in Monroe, LA is seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Associate to support sales and inventory duties. You will manage stock, fulfill orders, and assist customers both in person and by phone, using warehouse software and forklifts to handle cylinders and supplies.

The role requires 3–5 years in warehouse or inventory roles, with strong mechanical aptitude and high school education. You will work on a full-time, on-site basis in varied weather and environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding knowledge a plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years warehouse or inventory experience; mechanical aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal and telephone customer sales and service activities.
• Manage inventory, pull orders, perform monthly audits, fill cylinders, and operate a forklift.
• Receive, process, and enter new warehouse stock into the computer system.
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, including picking, packing, labeling, staging and shipping.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory control, and report discrepancies; coordinate adjustments with Purchasing.
• Coordinate with Purchasing on stocking issues, dead stock disposal, and expediting orders.
• Check in equipment repairs, assemble new welding equipment for display, and maintain warehouse equipment.
• Provide sales and customer service support for walk-in and telephone customers; identify product needs.
• Prepare customer orders, quotations, bids, and related transactions for welding equipment and gases.
• Set up showroom displays, stock shelves, and maintain showroom/warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Communicate with drivers, supervisors, and sales staff regarding delivery.
• Must be able to use company software for counter sales.
