Pittsburgh Public Schools is seeking a Heavy Cleaner/Stationary Engineer to manage boiler operations and general cleaning duties across large school facilities. The role splits time between heavy cleaning tasks and stationary engineer responsibilities, including boiler room work and equipment maintenance.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and a Steam Boiler Fireman License. Typical shift involves 3–4 hours of heavy cleaning with the remainder on boiler-related duties in a school

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Steam Boiler Fireman License required.
• Experience with boiler room operations and school facilities is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate switches to fire boilers and water heaters.
• Perform routine boiler and equipment maintenance.
• Grease and oil equipment, pumps, valves, and fittings as necessary.
• Inspect and change filters in ventilation units as necessary.
• Maintain grounds and clean cafeteria and surrounding areas.
• Assist with setup and cleaning of cafeteria areas and restrooms.
