Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a skilled Boilermaker in Texas to maintain coal-fired boiler systems. You will remove, replace, and repair piping, soot blowers, burners, and dampers, troubleshoot equipment, and work with flue gas desulfurization processes.

This role requires lifting, heights, and confining spaces, plus a rotating night schedule. Expect hands-on fabrication, reading blueprints, and using torches, plasma cutters, and welding tools.

• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Must have all required tools.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have ability to work a rotating schedule which includes nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Read specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Ability to properly use tools of the craft
• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
• Fabricate equipment according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane.
• Fabrication and piping tasks including field measurements and repairs.
