Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Boilermaker in Artesia, NM to construct, assemble, maintain, and repair stationary boilers and boiler house equipment on site.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of journeyman experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and legal work authorization in the United States. You will work with hand and power tools, welding equipment, and blueprints, following safety procedures in a demanding industrial environment. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level experience required (3–5 years).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Austin Industrial does not sponsor employment visas.

Responsibilities

• Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects.
• Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts together.
• Inspect vessels or components to locate defects and ensure proper function.
• Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts using tools and equipment.
• Attach rigging and coordinate crane or hoist operations for heavy parts.
• Lay out plate and sheet metal, mark lines, and ensure proper fit.
• Install manholes, taps, tubes, valves, and feedwater connections.
• Study blueprints to determine locations and dimensions.
