Job summary

Cumberland Dairy, a DFA Company, is seeking a skilled Boiler Engineer/Utility Technician to join our team in New Jersey. The role focuses on maintaining plant boilers, chillers, air compressors and wastewater systems, with opportunities for advancement within the DFA network.

Night shifts and a rotating schedule support continuous operation. Starting hourly rate ranges from $34 to $36 based on experience, with benefits including 401(k), paid vacation, and employee recognition programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 4 years of maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC and HVAC experience in manufacturing.
• Valid Black Seal Operators License; NJ Blue Seal preferred or pursued.
• Ability to read charts, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to inspect equipment and take corrective action to prevent downtime.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards and safety procedures.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boilers, chillers, air compressors, wastewater, and other utility systems to reduce downtime.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment.
• Read blueprints and schematics and follow safety standards while performing tasks.
• Collaborate with team to ensure reliable plant operations and adherence to regulations.
