Job summary

House of Raeford Foods is hiring for an hourly Boiler/Utility Technician to support our 2nd shift operations. The role involves monitoring boiler and utility systems, troubleshooting problems, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure safety and compliance with GMP and chemical safety procedures.

Responsibilities include repairing hydraulics, pumps, motors, valves, and electrical control circuits, with use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and PPE.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot plant utility systems and component parts.
• Comfort with high/low temperatures and PPE
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights
• Experience with hydraulic, pump, motor, valve repairs and electrical control circuits

Responsibilities

• Monitor boiler, air, water and hot water systems for safety and efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plant utilities.
• Install and repair hydraulics, pumps, motors, valves, and electrical control circuits.
• Operate forklifts, man lifts and yard trucks as needed.
• Work 9-hour shifts, including Sundays to Thursdays, and cover other shifts when required.
