Fischer Services in Seattle, Washington is seeking a Boiler Service Technician with hands-on boiler and hydronic heating experience to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light-commercial systems. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, reads diagrams, communicates clearly with customers, and is able to work safely, independently, and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on boiler, hydronic heating, HVAC, plumbing experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and repair capabilities on boiler systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer specs.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential and light-commercial boiler systems.
• Work on gas-fired boilers, hydronic systems, pumps, controls, thermostats, zone valves, and expansion tanks.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and combustion/efficiency checks.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, fuel, venting, and control issues.
• Identify failed components and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Test system operation to meet manufacturer specs and safety requirements.
• Explain findings and options clearly to customers.
• Prepare service documentation, recommendations, and job notes.
• Maintain a safe, organized vehicle and work area.
• Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and codes.
