Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Memphis VA Medical Center seeks a Boiler Plant Operator Supervisor to lead the Boiler Plant operations in the Engineering Service.

Responsibilities include supervising seven operators, maintaining plant systems, coordinating with contractors, preparing operation reports, and ensuring safety and efficiency in steam, hot water, and sterilization services for the medical center.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Boiler Plant Section which supplies steam for heating, cooking, humidification, sterilizers, and hot water for the medical center.
• Maintain quantity and quality of work produced by each employee in the unit.
• Develop and carry out the maintenance plan for the unit.
• Coordinate with contractors for maintenance, installations, and alterations.
• Prepare reports of boiler plant operation for submission to VACO.
