Job summary

Heywood Hospital is seeking a shift coverage technician for plant operations under the direction of the chief engineer. The role includes boiler plant oversight and some minor maintenance tasks to support hospital facilities.

Applicants should have five to seven years of boiler/steam equipment experience and hold a Second Class Fireman’s or Third Class Engineer license or higher; a driver’s license is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• High school, vocational or trade school graduate.
• Five to seven years experience working with boilers and steam generating equipment.
• Second Class Fireman’s License or 3rd Class Engineer's License or higher required
• Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains boiler plant equipment and ensures OSHA requirements are met.
• Performs routine maintenance on piping and related systems.”
• Completes daily and monthly work orders, logs and reports for supervisor review.
• Responds to utility failures and supports safe, clean hospital operations.
