Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with on-the-job or formal training.
• At least three years of direct work experience with boilers and generating equipment.
• Valid State of New Jersey Stationary Engineer Black Seal license.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain gas- and oil-fired boilers, chillers, heaters, and related equipment.
• Monitor boiler feed-water levels and fuel-to-air ratios to ensure efficient operation.
• Test boiler feed water and maintain water treatment programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boiler room machinery and related equipment.
• Record parameters in logbooks and ensure a clean, safe powerhouse environment.
• Support additional duties including snow removal when required.
