Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and training in high pressure steam systems.
• At least two years’ work experience in a high-pressure steam plant.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions in English; interact professionally with students, faculty, staff.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license and basic Microsoft Windows/Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts burner firing operation and auxiliary systems for boilers.
• Maintains steam plant cleanliness and controls oil spillage.
• Keeps logs and reports up to date for monitoring.
• Operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs high-pressure steam systems and accessories.
• Troubleshoots steam devices including electrical and mechanical components.
• Coordinates repairs with related trades and supports chemical treatment tasks.
