Detailed Job Description

Position Title: Boiler Operator

Department: Maintenance

Reports to :Maintenance Manager

Summary

Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Boiler Operation
• All Boiler Maintenance
• During down time: maintenance on facility and production equipment
• Must be able and willing to work overtime and weekends
• Occasionally work 12 hour shifts for vacation/illness coverage
• Provide own tools (basic hand tools)

Education and/ or Training Experience:

• Experienced skill set (refer to required skill section below)
• High School or equivalent training and/or work experience preferred
• 2nd Class Fireman’s License or above required

Requirements/ Skills

• Ability to stand for hours at length
• Basic oral and written communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to follow procedures

Physical Demands:

• Lifting or carrying, Pushing or Pulling, Reach, up to 100% of work shift
