Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Boiler Operator.
As a Boiler Operator at MercyOne, you will operate hospital power plant equipment to provide power and light in a safe and comfortable manner. You will ensure proper operation and maintenance of boilers, air conditioning, exhaust fans, vacuum and circulating pumps.
- Operate, repair, test, and chemically treat boilers to maintain safe, correct, efficient operating conditions according to standards.
- Operate, repair, test, and chemically treat chiller systems to maintain proper functioning.
- Possess knowledge and skills in plumbing, welding, HVAC, and installing and adjusting thermostats and pressure controls.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC system components, ensuring electrical connections are correct and voltage and amperages are appropriate.
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Training on day shift
- Post-training night shift, 10p-6:30a, Fri-Tues
General Requirements:
- Must have or obtain within 4 months a 1st class City of Sioux City, IA Hydronic Engineer's license.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, organizational skills, and professional appearance are required.
- Strong interpersonal, consultative, and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels. High diplomacy and tact are essential.
Education:
- High School/GED required.
