Job description

Boiler Operator

This position involves operating steam boilers for heating in the Steam Plant. The employee serves as a shift operator in medium or complex steam plants or as an assistant in larger or more complex facilities. The Steam Plant operates 24/7. Responsibilities include:

1. Monitoring and operating boilers and related equipment.
2. Starting and shutting down boilers.
3. Maintaining efficiency through monitoring readings and adjustments.
4. Performing water tests, chemical treatments, and routine maintenance.
5. Assisting with complex maintenance tasks.

Work Location: Maintenance/Steam Plant
Work Hours: Varies/Rotating Shifts
