Position Details:

Responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair of the Campus (DES) District Energy System serving UAMS facilities. Also assists with facility issues and emergencies on campus.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED plus 1 year relevant experience in HVAC, Mechanical Maintenance, Power Plant Operation, Plumbing, Stationary Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment, or Boiler Operation
• Boiler Operator Certification
• Valid Driver's License with fewer than 12 points
• Intermediate computer skills
• Knowledge of central plant systems
• Experience with watchkeeping and rounding documentation

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Boiler operator license with experience in steam and hot water boilers

Preferred Qualifications:

• HS/5 years experience with a license
• Experience operating a District Energy Plant
• Experience with BMS controls, centrifugal chillers, Siemens Desigo, and medium voltage electrical safety
