Job summary
The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Boiler and Machinery Inspector to perform thorough boiler and pressure vessel inspections across accounts. You will travel to customer sites, conduct examinations, and identify hazardous conditions while applying relevant codes and standards.
This role requires working under supervision and coordinating with underwriting and claims to support informed risk decisions.
Qualifications
- Two years of boiler and machinery industry experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must obtain an Inservice Commission (IS) within six months of employment.
- Must meet state-specific certification requirements where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Perform boiler and pressure vessel inspections on accounts.
- Maintain field presence and travel to customer sites as needed.
- Evaluate risk, develop loss estimates, and communicate findings.
- Assist underwriting and claims with risk information.
- Document and report inspection results.
