Starr Insurance Companies is seeking a highly skilled Machinery Specialist to join our team in Houston, TX. The role focuses on conducting jurisdictional inspections of boilers and pressure vessels, performing internal examinations, and delivering clear risk assessments with actionable recommendations to clients across a multi-state territory.

The ideal candidate will have the National Board Commission and at least 5 years of relevant inspection experience, along with strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Active National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels.
• Strong physical capability to complete internal boiler examinations.
• Excellent communication skills with clients at all levels.
• Proven ability to work independently across a multi-state territory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels to ensure safety standards.
• Perform internal boiler examinations with attention to detail.
• Provide clear reports and recommendations to client management.
• Manage a multi-state territory and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Conduct machinery breakdown insurance risk assessments and suggest mitigations.
