Job summary

Blount Fine Foods Corp. in Fall River, MA is seeking a Boiler/Fireman maintenance technician for night shift. The job pays $25.00 to $25.63 hourly and the hours are 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

You will perform rounds, log data, and maintain boilers and related equipment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, planned inspections, emergency repairs, facility upkeep, equipment installation, and winter snow removal.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Boiler I: Fireman 1 or Engineer 2 License
• Boiler II: Fireman 2 or Engineer 3 License

Responsibilities

• Make rounds on mechanical and boiler rooms; monitor operations.
• Log data and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers and related equipment.
• Carry out planned PMs, inspections, and repairs.
• Perform emergency repairs while line runs efficiently.
• Maintain facilities including wastewater treatment, refrigeration, and environment systems.
• Repair and maintain forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Install new equipment to improve production processes.
• Keep facility and equipment reliable.
• Clear walkways and snow/ice around facility perimeter in winter.

The pay range for this job is $25.00 to $25.63 per hour.

The hours for this role are 10:30PM to 6:30AM.

SUMMARY

Perform fireman duties on facility boilers and any maintenance on equipment and/or building as requested by the maintenance supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities

• Make scheduled rounds regarding technical operations in the mechanical and boiler rooms.
• Log all pertinent data and make adjustments as needed.
• Responsible for preventive maintenance on boilers and associated equipment.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Perform planned PM's, maintenance inspections/repairs as required.
• Perform emergency repairs and adjustments while line is running in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain building facilities including waste water treatment, refrigeration systems, and building environment systems.
• Repair and preventive maintenance of fork trucks and pallet jacks
• Installation of new equipment to improve current production processes
• Maintain the facility and equipment to ensure maximum reliability.
• Maintain outside perimeter of facility during winter months to ensure walkways and paths are clear of snow and ice.

Positional Safety

• Comply with all plant safety rules and regulations; including but not limited to:
• (Boiler room specific)
• Lock out/Tag out procedures
• Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

Education and/or Experience

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Boiler I: Fireman 1 or Engineer 2 License
• Boiler II: Fireman 2 or Engineer 3 License
