Responsibilities

Performs routine maintenance on boiler equipment and systems.
Maintains low-pressure, high-pressure, power boilers, steam boilers or hot water heating systems.
Monitors boiler system operation for safety and efficiency; facilitates periodic boiler cleaning.
Tests boiler water and treats water to prevent buildup.
Complies with safety regulations and handles hazardous materials.
Maintains records of boiler operations, maintenance, and inspections.
Addresses boiler problems and notifies maintenance when needed.
Monitors fuel and water levels, pressures and temperatures; makes adjustments for safe operation.
Responds to emergencies and coordinates with supervisor when unsafe conditions arise.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
