Job summary

Ladybird Taco in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Kitchen Team Member (Cook, Line Cook, or Prep Cook) to prepare and cook tacos, sides, and proteins to our standards while keeping the line flowing in a fast-paced environment.

You will report to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager; enjoy competitive wages up to $18/hour and opportunities for growth as the company expands its health and wellness benefits in 2026.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook tacos, sides, and proteins to Ladybird standards.
• Follow all food safety, cleanliness, and quality procedures.
• Keep prep, line, and dish areas clean and organized.
• Restock and rotate ingredients throughout service.
• Communicate clearly with teammates to keep the line flowing.
• Receive and put away deliveries.
• Support the team wherever needed — everyone pitches in.

Position Overview

As a Kitchen Team Member — Cook, Line Cook, or Prep Cook, you’ll be part of the heartbeat of Ladybird Taco. You’ll prepare and cook delicious food, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and support your teammates in a fun, fast-paced kitchen environment.

You’ll report to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, and live out our core values of being Caring, Humble, and Hungry every day.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook tacos, sides, and proteins to Ladybird standards
• Follow all food safety, cleanliness, and quality procedures
• Keep prep, line, and dish areas clean and organized

Who You Are

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable operating kitchen tools and equipment
• Able to follow directions accurately and efficiently
• Work safely around cleaning chemicals and hot equipment
