Job summary

Ladybird Taco in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Kitchen Team Member — Cook, Line Cook, or Prep Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen. You’ll prepare and cook tacos, sides, and proteins to Ladybird standards while upholding food safety and working closely with teammates.

You’ll report to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, embodying our Caring, Humble, and Hungry values. Growth through leadership development and a clear career path is available.

Qualifications

• Team player with positive, can-do attitude.
• Familiar with or willing to learn proper food safety standards.
• Able to obtain a food handler’s permit.
• Detail-oriented and dependable in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook tacos, sides, and proteins to Ladybird standards.
• Follow all food safety, cleanliness, and quality procedures.
• Keep prep, line, and dish areas clean and organized.
• Restock and rotate ingredients throughout service.
• Communicate clearly with teammates to keep the line flowing.
• Receive and put away deliveries.
• Support the team wherever needed — everyone pitches in.

Position Overview

As a Kitchen Team Member — Cook, Line Cook, or Prep Cook, you’ll be part of the heartbeat of Ladybird Taco. You’ll prepare and cook delicious food, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and support your teammates in a fun, fast-paced kitchen environment.

You’ll report to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, and live out our core values of being Caring, Humble, and Hungry every day.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable operating kitchen tools and equipment
• Able to follow directions accurately and efficiently
• Work safely around cleaning chemicals and hot equipment
